SQT bio-microneedling

The primary ingredient in SQT is derived from pure, natural biological extracts of Spongilla Sponge Spicules. Unlike products containing chemicals or acids, SQT offers a superior alternative. The spicules are microscopic, siliceous needles that provide unique benefits to the skin.

Harvested from a special freshwater sponge, these spicules are a product of the sponge's adaptation to its environment. They give the sponge structural support and protection from predators through their rigid, needle-like form. Composed of a unique protein that cannot dissolve in organic solutions, the spicules are also hypoallergenic, making them ideal for skincare applications.

With SQT, more than 3,000,000 natural microneedles penetrate the stratum basal without the need for devices, chemicals, or machinery. This process stimulates cell regeneration and accelerates the skin’s natural healing process.

Unlike conventional microneedling, which creates up to 200,000 microchannels using needles, SQT technology works by creating millions of microscopic channels through the use of spicules measuring just 15–17 microns in diameter. These ultra-fine, crystal-like spicules stimulate the skin without causing visible skin breakage or bleeding. While they appear as a fine powder to the naked eye, under a microscope the spicules resemble tiny needle-like crystals that work within the skin to encourage renewal and regeneration.

Unlike traditional microneedling, where the skin’s renewal cycle typically takes around 28 days, SQT stimulates a much faster renewal process of approximately 7 days. As fresh new skin cells rise to the surface, older cells are naturally shed along with the embedded spongilla spicules. Mild flaking and peeling are a normal and expected part of this rejuvenation process. The spicules themselves are not absorbed by the skin and are naturally expelled within 48–72 hours, revealing a fresher, smoother and more revitalised complexion.
